After two years of struggling with HARD CORE bloating, stomach cramps and irritation I hit a point where I was nothing but frustrated. I knew that I needed to figure it out. My best friend had known Kaely from graduate school and I figured I would try reaching out and man, I'm so happy that I did!

After just a month of changing my diet I noticed a significant reduction in pain, bloating and hormonal symptoms. I was totally unaware of how powerful the connection between our food and our hormones were until this point and it dramatically improved my quality of life each month.
What I learned in our time together taught me how to fuel my body appropriately for my workouts, use food to balance my hormones and how to maintain my progress on my own. I was very excited to learn about what foods have a negative impact on my body. After the testing I will admit there were a few surprises. I started the LEAP program in the following weeks and very quickly discovered just how some of those foods presented themselves in a negative way. I also found that many of the symptoms I was previously experiencing had gone away after eliminating certain foods from my diet for several weeks. This program was definitely life changing from the standpoint of how food impacts your body. Truly a learning experience that I will use the rest of my life. So happy I did this. When I had gone in for my annual pap smear my doctor checked my BMI and told me I qualified to see a dietitian and that's when I met Kaely. My first thought was this wont’ help. All I am going to hear is what to eat and not eat and that I should exercise...I was so wrong. Kaely showed genuine concern not only for what I ate and my exercise routine but she was concerned for my whole being...my emotional state, my sleep patterns, my hormonal state etc. She has been the one and only person in the medical field that ever checked my insulin level and found out that it was high and she informed me that high insulin is the pre-diabetes marker.
Our sessions were very informative and up building....I looked forward to our sessions and I always left encouraged and with a "I can do this feeling" so as I started applying what I was learning and gradually the weight came off and the labs normalized. Another thing I liked about Kaely she had a more natural approach and she felt it wasn't always about popping pills. She turned me on to the HEAD SPACE app that I use till this day to regain a sense of calm since I have a tendency to be anxious. Kaely was always on top of it and AHEAD of it...that I really appreciated. I highly recommend her as a Dietician, Practitioner, Therapist and friend. Kaely is very knowledgeable and thorough. I had never found anyone in the medical profession that genuinely cared and took the time to really listen and then help the way she has...she is AWESOME!
When I first met Kaely I was 187 lbs, and I also had high levels of insulin. Knowing that this could later lead to diabetes I knew that it was time for change, this was not only for myself but for my family.
Kaely helped me change my life. She help me find the a healthier version of myself. She helped me understand how nutrition affects sleep and hormones. How your body needs proper sleep, nutrition and exercise for your body to function the way it is meant to. She developed a plan and helped me with setting small goals. The goals were not only about food, they were also to plan activities to help relieve stress. Because stress also impacts your hormones. I made so many changes with her guidance and support I got down to 140 lbs. She has made such a positive impact in life. I can honestly say that I would be lost without her.
In my experience what I found most difficult was to find the time. I came to this conclusion, if my body is malnourished it’s only a matter of time before I develop a disease. We always make time for the people we care about why not make time for ourselves the people that love you will support you for being healthier knowing you’re giving yourself more time to live and in the long run giving them more time with you.
